Words are arguably the most powerful invention of mankind. Someone who can bend language to his will with the power of his ideas, can influence entire generations.

This has always been true. It is the reason Gutenberg’s press was such a powerful invention. It was responsible for the explosion of the Renaissance movement in Europe.

It is words from which we too, seek inspiration. Words that have fired our imagination and compel us to turn a utopian dream a reality with whatever tools we have at our disposal. These are the words of India’s most celebrated Poet, Rabindranath Tagore. They are:

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
